L’une des candidates à l’investiture libérale dans Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Grace Batchoun, défaite devant Mélanie Joly, va faire appel du résultat du vote ont rapporté plusieurs médias mercredi…
Le scrutin du 23 août dernier était très serré et il a fallu trois tours à Mme Joly pour remporter l’investiture.
Plusieurs candidats ont émis des critiques face à la campagne de Mélanie Joly, dénonçant ce qu’ils disaient être des manœuvres politiques de l’establishment du parti pour favoriser sa candidature.

"While the number of votes for each candidate was not announced Sunday, 2,065 votes were cast, according to officials. But from the list of voters sent to candidates following the nomination, Batchoun says only 1,780 are identified.
The alleged 285 voter discrepancy exceeds the 194 vote that eventually lost Batchoun the nomination."

Dans sa lettre d’appel, Mme Batchoun indique qu’à la fin du scrutin 2065 bulletins ont été comptabilisés, «mais seulement 1780 personnes se sont présentées pour voter. Cela représente un écart de 285 votes, une valeur bien au-delà de la différence finale de 194 voix entre Mme Joly et moi.»
